Answers to the questions brand founders ask us most - about manufacturing, MOQ, lead times, samples, customization, certifications, and compliance. OEMNicotine is a private-label and OEM manufacturer of functional oral pouches (nicotine, caffeine, nootropic, mushroom, kava, sleep, and hydration) producing in Sweden and China, with 150+ brands launched across 40+ countries.

MANUFACTURING & FACILITIES

General most common questions

1. Where are your products made? 

We operate three manufacturing locations: Gothenburg in Sweden, Hunan in China, and Indonesia. Our factory is registered with the U.S. FDA and operates under CGMP standards (21 CFR Part 210/211) We are also preparing U.S.-based production to serve American brands even faster.

2. What is your production capacity?

We produce 20 million cans per month in China, 20 million cans per month in Indonesia, and 10 million cans per month in Sweden - a combined 50 million cans per month, and we continue to expand. Both small pilot runs and large wholesale volumes run on the same quality systems.

3. How long does pouch manufacturing take?

From formula sign-off to first shipment: 3-5 weeks. Reorders ship fastest of all - as fast as 2-3 weeks, because your formula, artwork, and specs stay on file with your dedicated account manager.

4. What is your MOQ (minimum order quantity)?

MOQ is 5,000 cans per order in China and 10,080 cans in Sweden, depending on the product and formulation. The total can be split across up to 2 SKUs - for example 2,500 cans per SKU in China or 5,040 cans per SKU in Sweden - so you can launch two flavors from a single order. 5. Do you offer custom formulas?

Yes. We formulate nicotine, caffeine, nootropic, mushroom, kava, sleep, and hydration pouches tailored to your needs, and can combine multiple actives (for example caffeine + L-theanine, taurine, or Alpha-GPC). See the ingredients we work with for the full list and typical doses.

6. What certifications do your manufacturing facilities hold?

Our production facilities are certified and comply with GMP,  ISO 9001, FDA registration, and local food authorities requirements. Documentation is available on request and travels with every shipment.

7. What is your pouch manufacturing process?

In 7 steps: brand brief, quote within 24 hours with stock samples, ingredient sourcing, blending and formula sign-off, precision filling, quality control and branding, and global delivery. See the full pouch manufacturing process page.

8. Do you provide samples before production?

Yes. Stock samples of select flavors and styles ship the same day for a 150 USD handling fee. Custom samples of your own formula follow formulation and cost 150-300 USD depending on the market.

9. Can I create a fully custom pouch formulation (functional, adaptogen, nootropic)?

Yes - fully custom formulations are our specialty. Send your brief; our R&D team confirms ingredients, doses, and market compliance, you sign off in writing, and production starts. Read more about our ingredients and sample formulas.

10. Can you make custom flavor profiles?

Yes. Our in-house R&D team can replicate specific flavors - from candy, soda, or even a competitor pouch. Send us a product reference sample and we will match it.

11. Do you have stability testing or shelf-life testing available?

Yes. We provide stability and shelf-life testing so your pouches keep their strength, flavor, and texture for the entire labeled shelf life.

12. Do you assist with lab testing (microbiology, MSDS, heavy metals)?

Absolutely. We partner with certified third-party laboratories for microbiology, MSDS, heavy-metal, and active-content testing. Certificates of analysis ship with every order.

13. What quality control does every batch go through?

Every production batch undergoes comprehensive QC: active-content assay, fill weight, pH balance, microbiological safety, and packaging integrity. Your compliance file builds itself with every order.

14. Is my formula protected?

Yes. We sign an NDA on request before you share any formulation details - your formula, brief, and volumes stay confidential, in writing.

15. Will I have a dedicated contact person?

Yes. Every brand gets a dedicated account manager from the first inquiry through every reorder - one named contact, no ticket queues.

16. Do you help with regulatory or compliance support for global markets?

Yes. Our team provides market-by-market regulatory and compliance mapping as part of onboarding - for the USA, EU, UK, Australia, and Asia - before you spend on production.

17. Do you have PMTA approval?

We do not currently hold a PMTA (Premarket Tobacco Product Application) for OEM products. However, we assist clients with the application, and many of our clients hold their own PMTAs.

Can I inspect the goods before receiving them?

Yes, we offer third-party QC before sending out the goods - you can have an independent inspection at our facility before your order ships.

How long does shipping usually take?

Transit after production: about 1 week with air freight, 30-45 days with sea freight. Your account manager confirms the option and timeline for your destination.

18. Which pouch types can you manufacture?

Nicotine, caffeine, nootropic, mushroom, kava, sleep, and hydration pouches - all tobacco-free formats. 

19. Do you offer white label and private label pouch manufacturing?

Yes, we provide both white-label and private-label pouch manufacturing across all seven product lines, from stock recipes to fully custom formulas.

20. Do you manufacture ZYN-style products?

Yes. We can make ZYN-style pouches. However, we do not manufacture fake or replica ZYN products - we manufacture only for brand owners under their own branding.

21. What is your nicotine strength range?

Our nicotine pouches can be manufactured across a wide range of strengths, from low to high nicotine content, in tobacco-free, freebase, or nicotine-salt form. Your strength ladder is set with our R&D team. Normal nicotine strengths are between: 3-14mg

22. Can you manufacture 6-Methyl nicotine analog pouches?

Yes, we have the capability to produce 6-methyl nicotine analog pouches, subject to the regulations of your target market. Such as Nixodine

23. Can you manufacture caffeine pouches?

Yes. We work with natural caffeine (guarana) as well as synthetic caffeine - precision-dosed per pouch. See caffeine pouch manufacturing.

24. Can you manufacture nootropic pouches?

es. We are experienced in formulating nootropic pouches - dry (ZYN-style) and humid variants (most popular) - with a wide range of bioavailable actives such as Alpha-GPC, L-theanine, Rhodiola, and GABA. See nootropic pouch manufacturing.

25. Do you manufacture mushroom pouches (Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, etc.)?

Absolutely. We produce premium functional mushroom pouches featuring Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, and Turkey Tail extracts. See mushroom pouch manufacturing.

26. Do you manufacture kava pouches?

Yes. We manufacture noble kava pouches - root-only, noble-cultivar extract standardized to kavalactones, with every batch assayed. Read more about our KAVA Pouch manufacturing 

27. Do you manufacture sleep or melatonin pouches?

Yes. Smart-dose melatonin sleep pouches (the market pattern is around 1 mg per pouch) plus melatonin-free botanical lines for markets where melatonin is restricted, such as the UK and Australia. Read more about our sleep and melatonin pouches.

28. Do you manufacture hydration or electrolyte pouches?

Yes. Electrolyte pouches with custom sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium panels, optional BCAAs and vitamins, assayed per batch. Read more about our Hydration and BCCAA pouches

29. What are the most popular pouch types?

Slim wet-style pouches are the most popular, followed by dry ZYN-style formats. Lately, mini wet has become more popular as well.

30. What are the most popular nicotine pouch flavors (mint, citrus, berry, etc.)?

Mint variations - wintergreen, peppermint, and other mint combinations - are the top sellers, followed by fruity and candy-like flavors.

31. What pouch sizes do you offer?

Slim, Mini, Large, ZYN-style, and fully custom formats.

32. What packaging formats do you offer?

A wide range: standard cans, child-proof cans, mini cans, zip bags, and custom packaging via new molds if required.

33. What labeling options do you offer?

Full customization is available, including compliance with your market's regulations - digital, metallic, and tamper-proof label options.

34. Can you provide branding or design support?

Yes. We offer branding and logo design (at cost) plus label and packaging design (at cost).

35. Do you offer child-proof packaging?

Yes. Child-resistant lids and sealed containers are available on request - recommended for sleep and functional lines.

36. Do you manufacture hemp-based or cannabinoid pouches?

We do not currently manufacture THC pouches. We are exploring R&D in this area and experimenting with CBD, but do not yet meet the regulatory requirements for production or export.

37. How do I start an order?

39. What does a quote include, and how fast do I get one?

Every inquiry gets a personalized, itemized quote within one business day - typically including formulation, actives, labels, pouching, packaging, QC testing, and standard canning.

40. Do you offer nicotine pouch samples?

Yes. Stock samples of select flavors and styles ship the same day for a 150 USD handling fee. Custom samples of your own formula are 500 USD + 100 USD per sku depending on the market.

41. Do you offer caffeine, nootropic, and functional pouch samples?

Yes. Stock samples of select flavors and styles ship the same day for a 150 USD handling fee. Custom samples of your own formula are 500 USD + 100 USD per sku depending on the market.

42. What is included in the price?

Pricing typically includes formulation, actives and ingredients, labels, pouching, packaging, QC testing, and standard canning - itemized clearly in your quote.

43. Do you offer dropshipping?

No, we do not offer dropshipping. However, we can ship to your designated 3PL warehouse or introduce you to our 3PL partners.

44. Do you offer shipping solutions to EU, USA/CA, and other countries and regions?

Yes! We work with several shipping agents across multiple countries and regions, and can assist with your shipping needs for both bulk production and sampling.

45. Do you handle customs, import, and logistics for international clients?

Yes. We offer global fulfillment and logistics solutions with full export documentation - certificates of analysis and compliance papers travel with every shipment.

46. Do you manufacture for well-known or established brands?

We are not at liberty to disclose client names since we have NDAs with all of our customers. What we can say: we have delivered pouch products to every continent and worked with more than 150 brands globally.

47. Can I get a company introduction deck?

48. Can you provide technical specifications for your cans, tins, and packaging?

49. Do you provide POS material, brand assets, or marketing support?

Please inquire directly - we can assist with digital or print-ready POS materials depending on your needs.

50. Are your nicotine and functional pouches legal or compliant in Australia?

Some local brands in Australia must apply for TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approval. We support this process by providing GMP, FDA, and ISO documentation.
